     25th Anniversary/ Vow Renewal

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary on May8,2007. We want to host our own anniversary celebration by having an anniverary party. we also would like to renew our vows. Since we will be celebrating our 25th anniversary we have several family members who wish to honor us with a 25th anniversary gift. However, maybe some will not. How do I handle this? Should I somehow mention this on our invitations or just leave it up to each guest?
Thank You in advance for your answer and your time.

Dear Catsue,

Congratulations on your anniversary. 25 years is really something to celebrate.

It is now considered appropriate to mention gifts on these invitations if and only if you are requesting none. But, it is still considered inappropriate to mention anything else. We also never register. If guests bring gifts, it is best to put them away quickly.

Please read more about vow renewal etiquette.
