My husband and I have been married for 10 years. We are renewing our vows in November. I a having my father do the ceremony, but my husband and I have decided to write our own vows. I need suggestions for how my father should begin the ceremony. We are also doing a sand ceremony. Really stressing out!

This person typically informs the guests of your years together and how you are reaffirming your vows. You may want to do a bit of research or borrow a book from the library on vow renewal ceremonies. But, these words can definitely be yours and personal. Your father doesn't have any specific words he must say besides to facilitate your vows to each other.
The sand ceremony is being used in vow renewals, but it isn't the best, as it is supposed to symbolize the uniting of the bride and groom and the blending of their families. You two have already done this 10 years ago.
