Hi. My hubby and I are renewing our vows on Valentine's Day in Maui. We are celebrating 10 years. Since the ceremony will be private we wanted to send out announcements of the renewal including a picture when we come home. Is this appropriate? How should we word it? Lisa

Dear Lisa,
No it isn't appropriate. Your marital status hasn't changed so there is no need for an announcement. This would be the same as sending a card out to everyone informing them of your anniversary.
A vow renewal is not treated the same as a wedding. This is why we don't have a wedding ceremony for a vow renewal.
