My husband and I are renewing our vows for our 10 year anniversary next January in Paradise Island Bahamas. We are having around 45 guests attending. The ceremony will take place around 4:30-5:00 (not on the beach) and the reception following. The ceremony and reception are outside. What attire should the guests wear? My dress is a champagne and ivory gown with a train. Also, would it be appropriate for my husband to wear a cream or tan suit?

A vow renewal is not a wedding or a destination wedding. So, wearing a gown with a train wouldn't be appropriate since it could appear as a wedding dress.

I completely agree. And, it would be best if your guests choose for themselves what they want to wear unless this is very formal.
Vow renewals are supposed to be small family affairs with few very close friends attending. So, please read and plan well since you are inviting so many guests. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
