My husband and I are having our marriage blessed in the Catholic Church this June. We will be married for 5 years. After the ceremony we are having an hors d'ouervres reception - how do we do the recessional? The reception is in the same building as the church so people just have to walk through a hallway. Should my husband and I dismiss each pew or should they just all dismiss and meet in the reception area? Thanks so much for all you do.

You would recess as you would in a first time wedding. Husband and wife first then the first set of pews, followed by the second and then the third etc.

I agree with Rev. Susanna and also would think it very nice to release and greet your guests yourself. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com
