     Cake?????

UnsureFor our reception we are planning on doing pies. My mom says this is weird that pie has no place at a wedding. She says only cake. Is this true, I can't have pie? I love pie and think it would be great. I am just hoping it is not weird or unexeptable.

I believe in an earlier post you told us that you are having a vow renewal, which is not a wedding, and typically vow renewals are informal type parties. However, there are some who do go "all out" and host lavish, formal parties following their renewal ceremony so when considering what to serve for your event, consider the formality.
