I hate to burst your bubble, and stifle your excitement, but the vow renewal is a very personal experience. This is something the couple needs to do for themselves, for many reasons. Your parents should be writing their own vows. This is not really something you should do for them. Their vows should come from their own hearts, not from yours, or a book or a website, although, they could get ideas for wording vow renewal vows online or in a book. Please allow your parents to plan this for themselves and if they need help you can assist them in whatever capacity they choose.
Please review our many posts on vow renewals in the vow renewal forum. Be sure to use the search tool before posting too (which is part of the rules you agreed to when you registered). This leaves our experts free to answer new questions. I am going to move your question to that forum now. I couldn't agree more. Since this is basically the two of them reaffirming their love for each other and restating their vows for the years before them, it is very important that they write or choose them. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
