My husband and I are planning on going to the virgin islands to renew our vows for our 10th by ourselves. Our kids will not be there nor any other family members. Is that OK? I know a lot of this is preference, but I keep reading that vows are done before the family, especially before our kids to see us together. This would be kind of a 2nd honeymoon for us and would renew our vows at this time. Thanks for your thoughts.

Re: [kim0828] Destination renewal without family?

Some want to have their family present, some don't. It is, as you say, your choice. Don't feel guilty about wanting to keep this renewal private. Choose what makes the two of you happy.
