Does the vow renewal have to be on the anniversary date?

My husband and I had a wonderful wedding March 4, 1994. We would like to renew our vows the year of our 15th anniversary. Do we do this on our anniversary date or can we choose a new date to renew our vows? We own some property in California that has an island on it, and would love to renew our vows on the island. The weather is not wonderful in March so we would like to renew our vows on June 4. Would that be Okay? Thank you! Susan

You can choose any date to renew your vows. There are no rules about dates for a vow renewal ceremony.
