Do's and Don'ts when renewing vows

Hi, my husband and I want to renew our vows on our 25th anniversary in our church. We married in front of the JP. My husband wants to have bridesmaids and groomsmen with the wedding gown and tuxedo and a reception. I want to keep it simple, close friends and family, nice dress and suit with our two adult children standing with us and a fun party after. The question, where do we meet at a happy medium without causing more stress over this?

You could let your husband know that it is not viewed positively to host a vow renewal that appears to be a wedding when you are already married.

Have him review the following:

I completely agree. Your idea is completely appropriate and should be viewed positively by your guests. It will be very sweet also.
