     Gifts for a wedding renewal

My son and his wife are going to renew their vows in a church wedding. They had a civil ceremony 15 years ago. What would be an appropriate gift to give them? I would like it to be symbolic of their renewal.

This is a very personal decision. You need to take their personalities, likes and dislikes, and those sorts of issues into consideration. If they are religious, how about a personalized bible with an inscription? Any sort of keepsake like that would be a wonderful reminder of their continued commitment.

And, just for the record, the vow renewal ceremony is not a "church wedding". A wedding ceremony is for those who are not married yet and is a totally different ceremony. If the couple is already married then the vow renewal of blessing of the marriage are the two types of ceremonies to be considered.
