Is it okay to wear a wedding gown for a vow renewal?

My husband and I eloped 8 years ago and we are planning a small destination vow renewal event with a dinner afterwards. My question is I am wearing a wedding gown and our children will be flower girls is this appropriate? At the dinner reception there will be no music or dancing just a formal sit down dinner .

Dear R,

You may be confusing this with a wedding if you are wearing a wedding dress, unless this is the dress you wore for your wedding. Please read more about vow renewal etiquette.

Including your children is very appropriate.

Best wishes,
