We would like to have a girls only party for one of our friends who is renewing her wedding vows on her 1 year anniversary. I am not sure what is and is not appropriate for this type of party, or if it is appropriate at all. We need it to be inexpensive, possibly a party at home. We are having a bachelorette party for another one of our friends, and are spending a lot on that, however, we do not want our other friend to feel left out. She kind of got married in a hurry, and never really got the attention she deserved. Please help me with this, and as quickly as possible, her wedding is in the beginning of March!!!

Re: [chaencej1210] Reaffirmation Party for the Bride

Dear Reaffirmation Party,
No this is not a typical party for a vow renewal. However, I would imagine that it could be a gathering of all women for session of fun. It should not be raucous fun; she is a married woman. But, fun could be had--movies, games, even miniature golf. :)
Even for bachelorette parties these days, more women are spending their time wisely. They may have a session at a spa, round of golf, or an afternoon wine tasting. There are many activities we can share that would still be appropriate for married women.
