     Renew Wedding Vows

My husband and I(of 13 years) are planning on renewing our vows for our 15 or 20th ann. and I am just so confused/overwhelmedCrazy. Our first wedding in 1992 we in front of the JOP and I was 8 months pregnant. I want a BIG wedding this time. I want to include our children(13,12,10,and 2). Would it be right to have our two oldest boys(13&12) walk me down the isle? what about the unity candle a do or don't? If our daughter stands beside me(10) is it right to have another as flower girl? Is it right to have my daughter stand beside me? The wedding dress should it be simple or can I have the perfect one I find? Does it have to be off white? The color we would like to use this time is green is that wrong? See these are just a few of the many questions going on inside my head. Please could someone help. A confused wife. Thank you so much.

Dear Confused Wife,

Unless you are planning on divorcing your husband, you wouldn't be hosting a wedding because you are already married. A vow renewal isn't a wedding and shouldn't appear as one. It is viewed very negatively if it is. Please read more about vow renewal etiquette.

Your vow renewal can be very nice. Just please follow some common sense and the etiquette suggested. We have many posts on this subject as well that you may want to peruse.

Best wishes,
