     Renewal of vows

My husband and I got married Aug 28,2003 at the court house. We have split up twice, both times when I was eight months pregnant with my two boys. We want to renew our vows now that we are back together. Is it okay for me to wear a dress and have a ceremony kind of like a wedding ceremony? Please HELPWink

Dear Renewing,

Your ceremony can be very much like a wedding, but shouldn't mirror one. You are already married, so it may appear as if you just want to dress up and create a gift giving event, which a vow renewal is not. So, care must be taken in the planning or this positive message can be taken very negatively.

Please read more about vow renewal etiquette. This will help you with your planning.

Best wishes,
