My husband and I have been married for almost 5 years. We have had some hard times throughout those years. We plan to renew our vows after we finish college. How should I let my father-in-law know about the vow renewal since he was not at the wedding. On top of that, my father in law has never met my family. Please give me some insight on how I should word the invitation.

Does your father-in-law know that you are married? If so, then you would invite him to the renewal just as you would any other guest. If he isn't aware that the two of you are married then your husband should call or see his father and explain before sending out your invitations.

I suppose my answer would depend on why your husband's father wasn't told about your marriage. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
