Using new rings for vow renewal ceremony.

We want to exchange new rings during our vow renewal ceremony. Do I add it to my current wedding rings? It is 2 Black Hill's Gold rings (ring guard) with my engagement ring in the middle. What is the correct thing to do? Thank you, Susan

I've seen it done different ways. HOW is up to you.

You can simply exchange new rings on unadorned ring fingers. You can add a band to your existing wedding rings. Some couples remove their old bands, have them polished, and simply exchange those again. Some buy news ones altogether as replacements. I remember one groom who had 4 small diamonds inserted into his wife's band, representing him and their three children. Very sweet.

Blessings,

I agree. Since exchanging rings is optional for a vow renewal, there are no 'rules'. You could also exchange your wedding rings during the vow renewal for the new ones as well.
