     Vegas Wedding

Five years ago I was planning a beautiful wedding. I bought a dress and had found a church and was getting very excited about the upcoming event. And out of the blue our best man said he couldn't make it he had prior plans and brides maides started fighting about dresses. The next thing I knew my husband and I were on a plane to Vegas. We got married in blue jeans and I cried the entire trip home that my parents missed my wedding. I don't even have any real pictures of the wedding. My husband knows that I wanted a wedding and how important it was to me but the day we left for Las Vegas it was a spur of the moment decision. If I could turn back time I would have waited the extra 5 months for the real wedding of my dreams. I don't want a bunch of gifts, I just want my family to see my husband and I get married. Here we are five years and two children later and I still have my dress, can I get re-married in front of my family and friends?

Unfortunately you and your husband already exchanged wedding vows and were married back in Vegas so it is impossible for them to witness your marriage. However you could plan a vow renewal and invite all of your family and friends to witness your reaffirmation ceremony. A renwal of vows ceremony can be simiar to a wedding and can contain many of the same features as a wedding, with a few differences. You can read more about wedding vow renewals:
