     Vow Renewal For 30th Anniversary

My husband and will be celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary in Feb. 2008. We want to renew our vows. When we were married we had a very small wedding at my mother in laws home. Now that we want to renew our vows, we don’t know what would be the proper way to proceed. We would only want to invite family and a few close friends. How do we do the Invitations? We would not be expecting gifts, should we put no gifts please on the invitations? Would it be proper to hold it in a Church? I didn’t have the white wedding dress when we were married. Should I wear white this time? I know we couldn’t do the Unity candles, But could we light a candle and have each of our children to light one after ours is lit? Should my husband and I walk down the aisle together or should my two boys’ escort me? Should I carry a bouquet, a single flower, or none at all? Should our original best man and bride’s maid stand with us or just attend? We would want to have a reception, Should we cut the cake, as we did when we were first married and have the toast made? Should we dance?

Thanks for any help.

Dear Cheetos,

You have a lot of questions, but fortunately we have all of the the information for you in an article. Please read more about vow renewal etiquette. Please note that you may wear your original dress and including your children is perfect.

Congratulations on your 30th!
