     Vow Renewal after 2 years

My husband and I have been separated (physically and legally) for the past eight months. We decided to do a vow renewal on our 3 year wedding anniversary. I know people on here have said a renewal so soon isn't proper but we've been through hell and back and it just seems like this is something we need to do.

Is anyone going to frown down (in his family, my family, our circle of friends) upon this and think it's ridiculous or what is everyone's opinion?

We have said that vow renewals are only appropriate for benchmark anniversaries or after times of sever marital or emotional issues. I assume the two of you are no longer legally separated so having a vow renewal seems appropriate for your situation. Please read the wedding vow renewal etiquette or scan through our other posts.

Congratulations on saving your marriage.
