My husband and I were married by the justice of the peace. We were thinking of a vow renewal for our ten year anniversary. I have read several of the links for the etiquette of a vow renewal, but still feel overwhelmed and a little lost. We would like to include both of our families since they couldn't attend our wedding. We definitely don't anyone to give gifts but don't know how to express that wish. We would like to have it outside of our church, but didn't know if this is appropriate. I understand that having attendants is not customary and we don't have children so it would just be the two of us walking down the "aisle". I am also lost about the dress. I would like to wear a simple ivory or lilac cocktail dress but at the same time don't want to step over any boundaries. Any help would be great! I haven't done any of this the first time around so the second time seems overwhelming. We would also like to have an after party, but weren't sure how to handle this either.
