My husband and I have been married for 8 yrs. During those 8yrs we have had alot of problems such as infidelity, adultry, and strife and we even seperated for awhile and just recently got back together. We want to start over so we are planning to get married again. We have decided that we want a wedding that we didn't have the first time. Is this appropriate? and what would we call it? I have been told that we couldnt "get married again" because we are already married. I am confused and dont know what to do. I dont want to come across where i leave a bad impression on my family and friends..

Re: [shelleyW37] Wedding or renewal of vows?

Whoever told you this is right, you cannot get married again since you are already married. A vow renewal is the ceremony that would be best for you. This is a service where you exchange vows and re-dedicate yourselves to one another. Please read the many, many posts we have on the subject.
