Wedding vow renewal ceremony - vows and rings

Can we exchange rings as we say our vows? After the vows are said, then what does our friend say? Since this isn't a traditional wedding ceremony, I want things to be right so we don't look like we don't know what we are doing. Cool Thank you again! Susan

I usually say something poetic over the couple's joined ringed hands. Or you may ask your officiant to give a non-religious blessing. Often the Unity Candle is lit after the exchange of vows and rings.

Then the pronoucement follows.....followed by the kiss.

In a non religious ceremony, the structure may remain traditional, while the content may be non-traditional and more personal.
