My husband and I "ran off" and got married, so we didn't even plan a wedding. We did have a very nice reception held for us by both families, so we got to cut the cake etc(albeit 5 months after the wedding).
We are talking about renewing our vows in a few years for our 10th anniversary. We are thinking of doing a nice church service and reception to follow since we will now be able to afford one ourselves.
Is it ok to have attendants for a vow renewal ceremony? I would really like to have my siblings in the ceremony since none of us have all attended the same wedding or even been attendants in each others weddings.
Any advice would be most helpful.

Dear Renewing,
If you were recreating the feel of your first by having your former attendants, that would be fine. And, many will have their children walk with them. But, to have attendants really isn't done. It would be too much like a wedding.
