My husband and I are renewing our vows in February to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. Our daughters will be ages 14, 11 & 9. Is it appropriate to have them in different dresses but the same color or should they all be the same style AND color? I'll will start my search soon and need to know what to look for. Also, how soon should they be bought/ordered. For brides dress, they say 6 months for fittings, alterations and such but that seems too soon. I'm sure they will grow more before February!
Thanks!

Your daughter's dress style and color is more of a personal preference than an etiquette rule so choose what you like. Consider what your pictures will look like and try to coordinate the daughter's dresses to yours and to the colors in your decorations and flowers.
Ordering too early will increase the risk of a growth spurt. But if you fall in love with something early on, realize that styles for children come and go and what you love now may not be available in six months. Consider ordering a size larger and plan on having alterations done before the wedding. You know your children best so make the decision based on their growth history and ages.
