     renewing vows on cruise ship

We are avid cruisers and would like to renew our vows on our 25th anniversary on board a cruise ship. This is about 17 months away and I would like to have all the arrangements done by our 24th anniv. in June so that I can send out "Save the dates" then, giving the guests a year's notice to join us. How do I (or can I) invite people to cruise along with us without implying that we will be paying for their cruise? Also, do you have ideas (music choices, etc) that go along with a tropical themed renewal since we will be in the Caribbean?

Dear Chelle,

With your save the dates, which are not invitations, you could include all travel information with the contact information of your travel agent. She/he will give them the price and take care of all of the guest's arrangement. There shouldn't be any misunderstandings this way.

Most likely the staff on the cruise ship would be able to provide you with all of the music choices. This is what they do best.

Best wishes,
