     vow renewal

my husband and i are renewing our vows for our 10 year anniv. but i have several questions i need help with. do we have to have a minister perform the ceremony or can we have a family member do it? is it okay for my bridesmaids to wear black dresses since it will be summertime? does anyone have some ideas on centerpieces, i don't want candles or balloons?

Dear Mrs DeeDee:

A vow renewal ceremony is not religious nor legal so anyone can help you say your vows to one another, you do not need a minister.

Your other questions can be answered the same way as if you were planning a first wedding. Please post those questions in the forums they pertain to such as wedding attire, bridesmaids and wedding decorations. Give as much infomration as possible such as time of day and formality of the event so that the experts in those forums can give you the best answer.
