want to renew wedding vows on 25th anniversary

My husband and I will be married 24 years on August 23rd. We were married by the justice of the peace. It was just the two of us -- no family. We want to renew our vows on our 25th anniversary but don't know how to go about it. My parents are deceased but his are still living. Our children are 23, 18, and 3 yrs old. We had planned a church wedding 25 yr ago but the families couldn't get a long so we eloped and didn't tell anyone for 2 weeks. I was hoping to get some advice on what would be proper to renew vows.

Wow, that's some age spa of kids there. God bless.

There is a lot of information on renewing vows here. There are a couple of pages on that website that should give you all the information you'll need about vow renewals from etiquette to what to wear. If you have more questions there is a forum there where you can post too.

Congratulations on 25 years of marriage.
