2nd marriage, brides name on invitation

I have kind of an odd question that I have yet to see addressed anywhere. I was divorced several years ago and retained my married name. I am now happily engaged and ready to send out invitations but am wondering about the name on them. There are several people who are not familiar with my married name but knew me by my maiden name. Is it appropriate to word the invitation with both names? For instance "Jane Betty (Doe) Smith and John David Jones request your presence at the celebration of their wedding....etc" Or should I just leave it at "Jane Betty Smith" ? Thanks for your help!!

Dear Names,

Yes, you may use both names.

Congratulations.
