     2nd wedding- deceased spouses

As wedding Emcee, may I acknowledge or make reference to the deceased spouses of the bride and groom (2nd marriage for each as a result of the respective deaths of their first spouses) ? This is my Mother's wedding and I would like to mention my Father, as well as the deceased wife of the groom, at some point during the reception.

Dear Emcee,

Is this what they want? It would be best not to mention deceased spouses as this is their wedding and should focus on their future, not their past.

Please coordinate with your mother to know exactly what you are to announce and when.

Best wishes,
