Bridal shower for a third marriage?

I have been engaged once and was given a wedding shower but he called it off and the wedding never happen. I was given another shower with my second marriage. Now with my third wedding and his first; my sister is wondering if I should have a shower since it is his first but I feel bad because I have already had two.

Dear Lori,

Hopefully all of the gifts were returned from the first shower, as this is proper.

You can have a shower hosted for you, but those who gave to you before are not obligated to give again. Many are opting for the gift-less shower these days. This may be a viable option for you.

Best wishes,
