     Children in second wedding

This is my second wedding and my fiances first. My 9 year old daughter is going to be my Maid of Honor. It has turned out to be a large wedding with all of our friends that now have children that we want to invite since my daughter is part of the ceremony. Some of the couples have new-borns which I am sure will not attend, but some families have 3 or more children. Do we need to invite everyones kids or can we just specify kids on certain invitations.???? Right now we have about 60 kids! Or.... should we not invite kids except some of my daughters closest friends even though some of their parents are not invited.????? I have no clue how to handle this situation.

Dear Confused,

I would certainly consider an on site babysitter to handle the large amount of children. The babysitter can be located at the hotel where most of the guests are staying or in a separate room at your reception facility. Provide pizza or chicken nuggets etc for them and rent a movie for them to watch. Your daughters friends should not be a consideration in your wedding. If there are no invited guests that have children the same age, you could invite mayber her closest friend.

60 children will be miserable for all involved. The alcohol at a wedding does not mix with children under foot to be tripped over, etc.
