     Friends second marriage

Two very close high school friends were married very quickly. Our group would like to throw some sort of party for them. Is this the proper thing to do? We were thinking of a light dinner or maybe just hors doeuvres. They did not send out announcements.

Dear Friend,

Sure, any one can host a party in their honor. This could be any type of party you wish as long as it is not considered a gift giving situation.

We just wouldn't want anyone considering this a belated shower. :)

Best wishes,
