     Her 1st & his 2nd - Bridal Shower

My nephew is getting married for the second time. I’m not sure if I should have another bridal shower for him and his new fiancé. It’s her first marriage. He also has a young child from his first marriage.

Please help

Family doesn't host the shower unless the host is also a member of the bridal party. This is true for any marriage.

I would not be hosting the shower only helping. My niece, his sister, would be hosting.

Is it acceptable to have a shower for a 2nd marriage?

Who should and shouldn't be invited?

If she is a member of the bridal party then she can host.

It is acceptable to have a shower for any wedding, and this is the bride's first. Only those very close to the bridal couple should be invited and anyone who gave a gift to the groom first time around is not obligated to give again.

There is a lot of good information about second weddings at IDoTakeTwo.com

Hope this helps.
