I'm making the invitations for my mother-in-law's second marriage and she would like to request that no gifts be sent. I've been searching for etiquette on wording for this request and also where and how it should be included in the invitation. Should I use a separate card all together? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!!! --Liz

Hi Liz -
The reason you can't find wording for this is that mentioning gifts on a wedding invitation is improper. Spread the word through family and friends and if anyone asks. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

Thanks for your help. I got up early to scour your awesome site and figured that out on my own but thanks for your speedy reply. I will suggest to her passing the word along through friends and relatives. --Cheers! Liz
