Planning a second marriage to an older man

I am currently engaged to a wonderful man who is 20 years my senior. He has two children from his first marriage (lasted 17 years-divorced for 6). Their ages are 18 and 20. I get along with them fabulously...even though I am 29 years old. We plan on starting a family together in the very near future and we have discussed this with his children and they are happy and excited for us.

I was married for 4 1/2 years, and have been divorced for a year now. We are both at a loss on how we go about "getting married" again.

Neither of us want a big church wedding, because we both had that before. We would ideally like to get married on a beach...but I know that his elderly mother and some of his family wouldn't be able to make the trip.

A courthouse marriage to me seems distant...or that it doesn't mean as much.

How do we go about planning this second wedding? Should we have a very informal wedding at our home? Invite just immediate family? What about the reception? Bar-B-Que? I don't want it to be too informal?!

Any suggestions you have will be very helpful. Thank you for your time.
