     Reception after elopement

We are getting married this Summer in Napa Valley. There will be only the two of us for the Ceremony...this trip will also be our honeymoon. We want to come back and have a "reception/party". I have no clue on how to plan this. Is this appropriate? This would be family and friends, food and a band. Should this be treated as a formal reception? Do we have cake cutting etc? I am at a total loss. HELP!!Shocked

Dear Naybug,

As long as this is held very soon after the wedding you can include all of the traditional reception elements. No worries. Just send invitations for a wedding reception. You don't have to elaborate as your guests will know that you will be married by the date of the reception.

Best wishes,
