     Reception for second wedding

This will be both of ours second wedding. He didn't have a big wedding the second time just a church thing and that was it. We are planning a wedding for about 200 people. For the reception is it ok to do all the same things you would do for a first wedding?? like the bridal dance, the money dance and the throwing of the garder??

Dear Second Time Around,

The reception can be the same as the first. However, the money dance is not proper. Sometimes it is done because of family tradition. But, most find it tacky and presumptuous.

Also, those who gave to either of you for your first wedding are not expected to give to you this time.

Many are now foregoing the throwing of the garter. So, this is your decision.

Best wishes,
