My first marriage didn't involve a wedding or reception. It was conducted by a Justice of the Peace. This time I would like to have a wedding and reception which would include family and friends. I do not have 'small' children. They are both grown and out of the house, however, they will be included in the plans and ceremony. I've read many different 'ettiquette' do's and don'ts. I would like to wear a gown, one that is rather simple and floor length, is that appropriate? On the invitations would it be inappropriate to use my maiden name? Basically, I want to have the wedding I never did even though I'm in my early 40's and entering into marriage a 2nd time. Any view points or suggestions?
Congtaulations on your second marriage and finding love again.
You should use your legal name, the name everyone knows you by, on the invitations.
You can have all of the bells and whistles this time. Go for it...the dress and all.
