My finance' and I are getting married in six months. This is my second marriage (my first marriage was 15 years ago) but it's his first marriage. He wants a big wedding (which I agreed to) and now my bridesmaids want to have a bridal shower for me. I don't think it's appropriate since I was married before. I suggested maybe we could turn the shower into a informal BBQ but I would like to list "no gifts" on the invitations. How do you that correctly? I appreciate your guidance. Thank you.

Re: [emer5064] Second wedding bridal shower with no gifts

Dear Emer5064,
Many brides are opting for the gift-less shower these days and try to focus on the camaraderie of the occasion. So, if your bridesmaids list the party as a 'gift-less' shower, your guests should understand that gifts are not necessary.
