I attended the first wedding for the groom and brought a present. He is now getting married and I will not be attending the wedding. Should I still buy a gift for this second marriage?

Gifts should never be expected nor mandatory, whether you are attending the wedding or not. If you care for this groom and want to send him a token of your esteem and congratulations on his wedding then send a gift. At the very least, send a card.

no you do not 'have' to send a gift - it all depends on how you feel towards the couple. Perhaps a card? or a small token gift when you see them after their wedding. A nice gesture.
