What sing should I sing for a second wedding??

Hi

I am 21 years old, and my grandpa is getting remarried this February (my grandma died a year ago). He wants me to sing at the wedding, but I don't know what I would sing. It makes me very uncomfortable to sing anything about 'endless love' or 'you are everything to me' etc. It is not that I don't want him to be happy, I do, but the whole situation is awkward for me. I thought about maybe singing a hymn. Any other suggestions would be so great!! Thanks a lot.

Dear (very kind and sensitive) grandaughter:

What a testament to your love for your grandfather that you are able to put aside your feelings and sing for him. I wish I could hug you! Smile

I have a couple of song suggestions for wedding songs for a more mature, second wedding couple.

A Whole New World (Theme from Aladdin)

Circle of Life (Elton John)

Blessed (Elton John)

Can You Feel the Love Tonight? (Elton John)...no, I'm not getting kick backs from Elton!

All I ask of You (Theme from Phantom of the Opera)

If You Asked Me To (Celine Dion)

The Rose (Bette Midler)

Someone to Watch Over Me

I hope you find a song that works for you.

Your song will mean so much to your grandfather.

All the suggestions from TWQ Forum Moderator are excellent. Here is one more suggestion:

You Light Up My Life (LeAnn Rimes)

Another option is to sing a traditional religious hymn.

Dedicate your voice to the highest good....whatever that may be. Then yours will be the voice of an angel.

Blessings,

Rev. Susanna

Oooohhh...that's a great song -- wish I thought of it. Wink

That is a song that works well for the unity candle ceremony too.

Thanks Reverend Susanna!

Honoring your grandfathers wedding by singing for him I'm sure would be treasured forever. In addition to some of the really good suggestions already made I'd suggest the song "Love Is".
