Who pays for dinner after second wedding ceremony?
We have both been married before and are both sixty years of age. We are being married in a couple of weeks in a casual ceremony on the beach. We will have a small group of friends, maybe 10, at the wedding. Following the ceremony we will all go out to dinner. Should we pay for our guests meals? We are both on limited incomes and the bill would be above what we could afford, but we could do it. You advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Keanesgirl,
The rule in all cases is that if you invite, you pay. So, only host the event you can afford to host. Perhaps you could host all of your guests at your home for cake and beverages.
