bridal shower for a second marriage

My sister is getting married in June this year and it is her second marriage but her fiance's first. I am her matron of honor as I was for her first wedding and would like to throw a bridal shower for her. Her fiance's sister who is not part of the wedding party has also offered. Could either of us throw the shower for her or could we do it together ?? (we are friends too) Thanks for the advice -- sister of the bride

Family members should not host a bridal shower unless they are a part of the bridal party so the sister in law should not really be a part of it. She could be in the background helping but not hosting.
