can 7yr old give bride away at second wedding?

My fiance and I have been together for 4 years. I have a 7 yr old son from a previous relationship. My fiance is the only dad he's ever known. (he even calls him dad) My father hasn't been in my life since I was little; and I don't want him at the wedding. I don't really have anyone to walk me down the aisle. I was wondering if it would be appropriate to have my son walk me down the aisle and give me away? Or does an adult have to do this?

Absolutely, and how very sweet that will be! Not a dry eye in the house. Your son cannot be a witness though since he is under age so be sure to have your witnesses set up and do check with the chirch (if you're having a church wedding) to be sure they are on board with the plans. Have a look at GettingRemarried.com: Second Wedding Ideas for more information on second weddings.
