We are attending a wedding of a couple (old friends of my husbands) that had previously been married to each other. They had been divorced for several years, each remarrying others, divorced, widowed and now remarrying each other once again. I usually prefer to give monetary gifts but feel this is not appropriate for this wedding.........any ideas would be grateful.

Re: [mcbrash] gift for second marriage

I prefer to give a gift I know the recipient would like but would never buy for themselves. Consider the couples tastes, style and hobbies and make a selection based on these things. If they are wine enthusiasts, perhaps a subscription to a wine lover's magazine and a couple of really good quality wines. You could even make a basket up of all of the things that go with wine tasting. You could select a keepsake item such as a personalized picture frame or photo album. It really depends a lot on the recipient and your budget.
But, please do send the gift to the home of the bride before the wedding so the couple does not have to worry about transporting the gifts ot having the card separated from the gift. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
