second wedding etiquette with kids

This is my second marriage and my fiances first. I have 2 children from a previous marriage and would like to know what kind of etiquette I should follow as far as engagement announcements go, registries, bridal shower, etc, etc....we are planning a small intimate ceremony/reception at out home next august. I don't want to do something I'm not supposed to or not offend anyone.
