sending announcements or invitations for second wedding

This is a second wedding for both the bride and groom. We will be going off to get married with just my daughter and both sets of our parents to watch the ceremony. Then, after a month or there abouts, we will have a reception with cake and such.

Do I send out wedding announcements to everyone, extended family, friends of parents, out of state family and such right after the ceremony and then send a reception invite to those invited to the reception?

I am so excited that I want everyone to know but also want to do it correctly!

Dear Ready 2 Wed:

You will send reception invitations to all you want to attend the reception (this will obviously inform them you've been married), and then send wedding announcements to the remainder of people not invited to the reception.

Congratulations on finding love again...
