     sons giving away bride?

My mother-in-law is getting remarried and wants her two sons to give her away. The wedding is casual, but at a church. Would you call them groomsmen? Would they stand at the front with wedding party or would they need to sit down as a father would? Thanks for your help!Smile

Since they are taking on the role of the "father of the bride" they would sit down after they "give her away".

Do they have to have a title?

Dear Giving Away,

That is true. Her sons would simply sit down. They do not have a title.

Thank you so much for your input. She just wanted them listed in the program somehow, but I agree with you I didn't think they should stand up there as well. Thanks again!
