     walking down aisle

This will be my second marriage. I am having my 2 adult sons walk me down the aisle at church. I would also like to have my Godfather be part of the ceremony. Any suggestions on how he could be involved. My parents are deceased and he is like a dad to me. I do want my sons to be my escorts, but maybe Godfather could be a part also..

I have 2 suggestions for you:

1. have your Godfather particiapte in the unity candle ceremony.

  • Place your Encore Unity Candle, personalized with your names and your family member's names, on the altar for the ceremony.

  • During the processional, or just right before the ceremony, have your family members light the individual tapers - bride's family lights bride's candle, and the same for groom.

  • When it's time to light the the Unity Candle, each member of your new family takes their own taper candle and contributes to the single flame.

Blend your two families together with your own Unity Candle Ceremony.

Include your family in the unity candle ceremony. More Info

and/or have a special dance with your Godfather to a very special song:

Have a wonderful wedding and be sure to visit Getting Remarried for more tips on second marriages.
